Diwali Dandiya

Posted On :28/10/2008
By Barsali Bhattacharyya

Members of Saturday Club, Kolkata had a real fun time this Saturday. Sponsored by The Telegraph, the club had arranged a pre-Diwali Dandiya that proved to be a hit among its members.

Youngsters, along with splendidly dressed kids, thronged the dance floor and prizes were given away to the three best dancers.

Although, most of the participants sported traditional outfits for Dandiya, we did manage to spot a few who decided to do away with the norms. This pretty young lady in her simple black and white dress was certainly one of them. As she got into the groove with her friend, she turned out to be a master not only of her style but her moves as well.

Some, however, had fun, even while staying well away from the dance floor. We caught up with a young group, on the lawn, who sure seemed to be boosting the fun quotient at the gathering!

Although shying away from the dance floor, these two young girls were indeed stylishly turned out. While one of them had teemed her balloon top with calf-length leggings, her friend, donning a well-fitted black top, had a pretty look for the evening.
