| Kolkata is widely known as the 'City of Joy' because of the indomitable spirit of Kolkatans when it comes to celebrating innumerable fairs and festivals with much pomp and grandeur. It is a city which indulges with equal enthusiasm in all festivals, irrespective of religious connotations. Although Durga Puja steals the show, festivals like Christmas and Eid-ul-Fitr are also enjoyed with great aplomb. |
