Pamper your sweet tooth silly at Chocoxpress, the city’s newest dessert den. Located at 16, Sarat Bose Road (next to Nepal Sweets), the cosy confectionery opened on 17 July.
It serves up sinful delicacies and savouries like Chocolate Eclairs, Death By Chocolate, Fudge Brownie, Swiss Rolls, Mud Pie and Strawberry Cubes along with a range of customised chocolates and cakes. From the savoury section choose from Potato ’N’ Leek Puff, Chicken Pesto Sandwich, Chilli Coleslaw Sandwich and Macaroons.
The brand Chocoxpress started out in 2007 as a counter in Forum by chocolate connoisseur Ridhi Kapur Verma and is now a full-fledged bakery, with plenty more to offer. Joined by her husband Gaurav Verma, the couple have conceptualised the menu together and attempted to bring in a European touch to the variety. “We have a mix of old favourites and our novelty items which we thought of after scouring bakeries in London. Since many of our clients are vegetarians there are more eggless bakes which is not so common in the city,” says Gaurav.
For Rakhi, Diwali and the wedding season, three-tier wedding cakes, cupcakes and flavoured chocolates can also be made on order.
