Angshumaner Chhobi is a drama cum psychological thriller tracing the journey of Pradyut, Madhura, Neel and Angshuman who live through a gamut of experiences and emotions while making a film. The film follows the four protagonists as they face the ultimate challenge for every creative person – a coming to terms with one’s emotions.

Nine years ago, Angshuman (Indraneil Sengupta) had left Kolkata for Milan in Italy. He stayed back to pursue a career in documentary and ad films. However, Angshuman had a commitment to keep.  He was to direct a feature film in Bengali for his college professor Bikashranjan (Sabyasachi Chakrabarty). Armed with an intriguing script about the curious relationship between a septuagenarian celebrity painter and a young nurse, Angshuman returns to Kolkata. Putting up with friends Rajib and Sonali (Rudranil Ghosh and Anjana Basu), Angshuman takes a plunge at his dream project. However, a series of hurdles involving three people intricately linked with Angshuman’s film threaten to turn the project into a non-starter.

The three people are Pradyut Mukherjee, Madhura Sen and Neel. Pradyut (Soumitra Chatterjee), is a living legend of the Bengali film industry who prefers to live far from the arc lights in self-imposed exile. Madhura (Indrani Haldar) is an actor who never lived up to the expectations generated by the National Award she won in her very first film. She had to settle for a frustrating professional and personal life instead. Neel (Tota Roychowdhury), a young man who was passionate about dance and astronomy, gets caught up in something that changes his life forever.

The acute emotional crisis reaches its acme with an incidence of crime. An alleged suicide opens up yet another dimension to the story as police investigations begin.

But despite all these adversities, Angshuman is determined to see his dream project though.

The story sounds to be very interesting! Surely the film is aided by a great script (as in every Atanu Ghosh work). Looking forward to watch the film!
