Chance Pe Dance: Preview

Shahid Kapoor has been riding high on the popular charts of late, and his next venture Chance Pe Dance releases this Friday.

Chance Pe Dance tells the tale of a young struggler, Sameer (Shahid Kapoor), who sets out to make his mark as a dancer. Sameer’s only support through the struggle is his lady love, Tina (Genelia D’Souza), a choreographer. Twists and turns follow and Sameer ends up as the lead actor of a film.

The film has made it to the gossip charts because of its supposedly striking similarities with Shahid’s off-screen life. But director Ken Ghosh denied that the film was based on Shahid. “This is mere coincidence and not a result of any conscious effort. Shahid was in our mind for the role because of his dancing skills,” Ghosh clarified.

Shahid has been the focus of all the attention but bubbly Genelia has also been shining in the promos. She confessed to being a little sceptical early on, but added, “Playing a choreographer is not my forte but Ken made it possible. Shahid was a great help during the rehearsals.”
