A still from 'Prem Amar'.
A still from Prem Amar.
Prem Amar is the story of two young people, Ravi (Soham Chakraborty) and Riya (Payal Sarkar). Ravi, a prankster, enjoys life till Riya enters his neighborhood. While he falls for her, Riya doesn’t reciprocate his feelings. Feeling unwanted, Ravi slowly withdraws into a shell. That is when Riya steps in. Successful in helping him out of the situation, she falls in love with him. However, bizarre incidents separate the young lovers.

Director Raj Chakraborty believes the film’s USP “lies in the passionate love it portrays.” “I guess it will touch everyone’s heart,” he adds. The film was shot in Kolkata, Siliguri and picturesque Leh. Prem Amar is set for release on 9 October.

Bani  - prem amaar.. wont watch it again!!   |203.171.209.xxx |2009-10-20 02:57:28
well .. i happened to see prem amaar yesterday.. it was a well made movie.. tight screenplay and good editing done.. but what was lacking i the movie was a script filled with loopholes.. and weak characterization .. the shades of grey in ria's boy friend were not well portrayed. ria's dad was totally under utilized.. the dresses worn by the actress in the dream sequence songs were not well designed to cover her extra flabs...and last b ut not the least the the hero's suicide attempts looked more comical than tragic... the last part of the movie was a total mess.. could have been a bigger hit.. and i believe the director can do a better job
