New Delhi, 9 Mar: Lok Sabha was adjourned thrice today following unrelenting protests by SP, RJD and JD(U) members over the Women's Reservation Bill.

Noisy scenes began as soon as the House assembled at noon after two adjournments during the Question Hour, with members of these parties rushing to the Well.

Amid vociferous protests, Speaker Meira Kumar directed that papers be tabled in the House.

The protestors continued raising slogans like 'Mahila Bill Wapas Lo' (withdraw women's bill), 'utho dalit, pichhde, musalman, milkar banao Hindustan (dalits, backwards and Muslims rise, unite to build the country) and 'Congress, BJP ki ghazab ki yaari, sabki maari hissedari' (Congress, BJP strange bedfellows, they have prevented participation of all sections).

The SP, RJD members were soon joined in the Well by their leaders Mulayam Singh Yadav and Lalu Prasad. Some JD(U) members including Mangni Lal Mandal and Rajiv Ranjan Singh Lallan were also seen protesting.

With the din continuing, the Speaker adjourned the House till 1400 hours after the papers were laid.

The members of the three parties were demanding that the bill should earmark quotas for Dalits, OBCs and Muslims.
