Kashi Vishwanath Temple hikes fees
The fee for attending prayers and performing other rituals at the Kashi Vishwanath Mandir, the famous Hindu shrine in Varanasi of Uttar Pradesh, has been raised by 50 rupees. Citing inflation as the reason, the trustees have also hiked the entrance fee to morning and evening rituals.

Rare amphibian found in Siliguri
A rare amphibian commonly called ‘caecilians’ has been found after a gap of almost 150 years in Makaibari Tea Estate in Siliguri. Rajan Banerjee, the owner of the tea estate, adds that they have found 3-4 more amphibians since then and are taking care of the rare animals. Experts from Delhi University have visited the region to conduct a thorough research on the amphibian.

Kolkata was gripped with panic and terror after a hoax email, threatening serial blasts by 10pm, was sent to several media houses on Tuesday night. The mail mentioned prominent city locations like New Alipore, Park Circus, Science City, Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals, City Centre and other important public places.
