Abhishek, Deepika promote 'Khelein Hum'
With the release date of period film 'Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey' just around the corner, the cast and crew are on a promotional spree across cities. Lead actors of the movie, Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone, were in Kolkata on Saturday for the same. Talking about the flick, Abhishek said he was proud to play the part of freedom fighter Surjya Sen.

Deepika, Imran promote 'Break Ke Baad' fashion
In an effort to promote their upcoming flick 'Break Ke Baad', actors Deepika Padukone and Imran Khan recently launched a clothing line at Shoppers Stop. Dressed in a casual shirt and khaki pants, Imran said he hoped people would copy the styles shown in the movie. Deepika attended the event in a floral dress paired with gladiator sandals.

Couture à la Sabyasachi
Delhi's first ever Couture Week opened on Tuesday, with designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee featuring his vintage collection called 'Aparajito'. Bollywood actors Rani Mukherjee and Vidya Balan, who have time and again dressed in Sabyasachi's creations, were present in the audience to cheer the designer. Inspired by the essence of India, the collection comprised mostly earthy tones of muted greens and browns.

Tea workers to protest for better wages
Tea plantation workers in Darjeeling are to begin an agitation for better wages and working rights. The workers will start a ‘work to rule’ movement from 15 July to 30 July, which means the workers will pluck leaves only according to their contract. The workers are poorly paid and with the rising prices of essential commodities, they are demanding higher wages.

Christmas at Belur
Soon after evening prayers to Swami Vivekananda at Belur Math on Christmas Eve, the focus shifted to the worship of Jesus Christ. Flower garlands adorned paintings of Christ and Mother Mary as prayers were said and visitors and devotees sang Christmas songs. Present on the occasion was Swami Atmasthanandaji Maharaj, President of Belur Math. A video report.
