Sourav Ganguly hopeful of India's victory
Former Indian skipper Saurav Ganguly is hopeful of winning the four test match series after being selected in the team for the first two matches against touring Australia. Ganguly, while talking to reporters in Kolkata, said that India could win the series if it played to its potential. Australian skipper Ricky Ponting said that it would be a good test series between India and Australia.

Blasts suspect arrested
The Gujarat police have arrested the alleged mastermind of the Ahmedabad serial blasts on July 26 which killed 49 people and injured several others. P.C. Pandey, the Director General of Police in Gujarat, spoke about blast suspect Mufti Abu Bashir’s being arrested in Lucknow.
