Kolkata’s movie lovers are spoilt for choice this week. Ram Gopal Verma’s ‘Rann’, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Ritesh Deshmukh and Paresh Rawal, is releasing today. Running parallel to ‘Rann’ is ‘Ishqiya’. Directed by debutant Abhishek Chaubey and produced by Raman Maroo and Vishal Bharadwaj, and starring Naseeruddin Shah, Arshad Warsi and Vidya Balan, the film has a distinct flavour of Vishal Bharadwaj. Also in the queue is Tollywood bone chiller ‘Thana Theke Aaschi’, starring Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Paoli Dam, Parambrata Chattopadhyay and Rudranil Ghosh. A video report.
