The Japanese Wife: Media interaction
It was a starry Saturday for Tollygunge Club as Aparna Sen, Rahul Bose, Raima Sen and Moushumi Chatterjee gathered to interact with the audience about their film ‘The Japanese Wife’. The movie tells the story of Snehamoy (Rahul Bose), a schoolteacher in the Sunderbans who falls in love with his Japanese pen friend Miyage (Chigusa Takaku). The two take their wedding vows via their letters to each other and are married for fifteen years, without ever meeting in person. While Moushumi Chatterjee plays Snehamoy’s aunt, Raima Sen steps into the shoes of a young widow in the film. A video report.
