WB tops chart in teen pregnancy
Family Planning report deals a big blow to the image of West Bengal. The report states WB has the highest number of teen pregnancy cases in India. Furthermore, 14% of the births are in girls aging 15 to 19 years. Maternal mortality too, is high as a whopping 41% of the girls are married before the age of 18.
