Pollution levels near the Taj Mahal are being monitored very closely these days. Authorities in Agra have now stepped up measures to check the levels of pollution around the world famous marble monument. Vehicles have been banned within a 500 meter radius of the Taj Mahal. The ban is being implemented according to the Supreme Court order which aims at checking and monitoring pollution levels around this historical monument.
