On the occasion of the 68th death anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, a function was organised at the Netaji Indoor Stadium on 7 August 2008. A number of Tagore songs such as Chaya ghanayiche, Ai akashe amar mukti, Aji jhorer raate tomar obhishar and Monomor meghero sanghi were rendered as a homage to the Nobel laureate poet.
