Government refuses to back down on 'Nano' project
The West Bengal government rejected a demand by farmers to return the disputed land acquired for the 'Nano' Project on Tuesday. Tata Motors, which is setting up the plant to roll out the world's cheapest car, has faced violent protests and political opposition over the acquisition of farmland in Singur.
