Raksha Bharadia, co-author of Chicken Soup for the Indian Soul, was at the Crossword bookstore on 25 Nov, to promote her latest book Roots and Wings - A Handbook for Parents. The book addresses parenting conflicts and dilemmas, and discusses how to manage the thin line between freedom and structure, space and control, being a mentor and a friend, and our expectations of the child versus his native endowments. Also present at the launch was fashion designer Kiran Uttam Ghosh who shared her childhood memories and spoke about parenting. An ILK report.
