As many as 100 people were killed and 250 injured in India’s financial hub of Mumbai as gunmen armed with rifles and grenades stormed five-star hotels in the country’s first terrorist attack targeting foreigners. Fire spread through the luxury Taj Mahal Palace and Tower hotel, where terrorists were holding as many as 15 people hostage. The policemen have succeeded in flushing out terrorists from the Cama hospital and encounter is still going on at the Taj Hotel. There has been fresh firing at the Oberoi Grand Hotel.
