Around 50,000 people including 100 international long distance runners participated in an International Marathon in Pune on Sunday. The marathon was to express their solidarity and pay homage to the martyrs and the victims of the recent Mumbai attacks. India's Junior Foreign Minister, Anand Sharma flagged off the marathon that was organised by the Pune International Marathon Trust under the aegis of the Athletic Federation of India. Actors Priyanka Chopra and Rahul Bose also were present to cheer the participants.
