Ludhiana in Punjab these days is acting as home to a large number of the migratory bird, black ibis. Black Ibis, having a characteristic bald head, patch of crimson red and a white patch near shoulders, usually migrate from central Asia every year during winter in search of food and shelter. These birds visiting the Ballowal village have caught the attention of locals.
