After gold prices touched a peak recently with record price of 15,550 per 10 gram, the city jewellery shops are witnessing a lower footfall in customers. Although the yellow metal is in great demand from investors to protect the value of their assets as stocks slump, people are finding it difficult to purchase with limited budget in this wedding season.
