| The Aviva Great Wall of Education, a book donation drive for underprivileged children, is being held in the Kund area of City Centre, Salt Lake. The campaign, presented by The Telegraph, was inaugurated on 1 September by governor M.K. Narayanan and is on till September 5. All books building the wall over the five days will be distributed among those who can’t afford them. A video report. |

India, Switzerland seal the deal |
| The protocol amending the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement was finally signed between India and Switzerland on Monday. The agreement will help the Indian govt obtain information on money stashed away in Swiss banks. The pact was signed in the capital, New Delhi, in the presence of Pranab Mukherjee and the Swiss foreign minister Micheline Calmy-Rey.
