| Kumartuli can now have a permanent address. The legal tussle relating to tenancy has been cleared with Land and land reforms minister Abdur Razzak Mollah signing relevant documents. Expressing his happiness over the new development, urban development minister Asok Bhattacharya said Kumartuli’s new structure will come up soon. “We had wanted to bring up the permanent structure of Kumartuli before the Pujas, but it’s not possible. We are sorry for that....we will try and complete it as soon as possible”, he said. The pace of work is picking up in Kumartuli before the Pujas.
