Kasab ready to appear before court: Defence lawyer |
| Ajmal Kasab is willing to be produced before the court for proceedings, said his defence lawyer, Amin Solkar. Solkar made the announcement after the second day of Kasab's hearing in Bombay High Court. Kasab had reportedly spat on the web cam that was specially arranged for him to hear the 26/11 case. Solkar however, claimed that solitary confinement might have affected Kasab's mental status.

Double trouble in ‘No Entry 2’ |

The sequel to hit film ‘No Entry’ promises to be double the fun with Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor and Fardeen Khan having double roles in the film. Producer Boney Kapoor claims the first draft of the script is ready. Entitled ‘No Entry Mein Entry’, the film has been penned by Aneez Bazmee and will be directed by him. The female cast is yet to be finalised.

India’s first AC double-decker train |
| The Rail Coach Factory in Kapurthala, Punjab on Saturday rolled out Indian Railways' first air-conditioned double-decker train, comprising ten coaches that included eight double-deckers and two power cars. The stainless steel coaches have been introduced to cater to heavy rush of travellers on high-density routes, offering air-conditioned travel at a lower cost. The new coaches are capable of running at speeds of up to 160 kilometres per hour.

CVC asks for CWG reports by month-end |
| Probing into the alleged financial irregularities related to the CWG, the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) has directed all agencies to submit their reports by the end of the month. A reminder to this effect has been issued recently to CPWD, MCD, DDA and PWD. CVC's finding will be given to a committee by the PM.
