| Kolkata model Dimpy Ganguly, who became Mrs Rahul Mahajan through a televised swayamvar, walked out on her husband yesterday alleging domestic violence but he claimed she was back in his bed. In the early hours of Thursday, Dimpy fled the Mahajan home in Mumbai’s Worli after she was allegedly roughed up by Rahul, son of late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan. |

Cameron pays homage to Mahatma Gandhi |
| British Prime Minister David Cameron visited the mausoleum of India's freedom icon Mahatma Gandhi to pay homage on Thursday in New Delhi. Earlier in the day, Cameron was given a warm welcome at the Indian Presidential Place by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. He also met India's Foreign Minister SM Krishna with his delegation to hold discussions. Cameron's visit is part of a big diplomatic push to court Indian business and reenergize trade relations with the Asian giant.

Parliament adjourned for the day over price-rise issue |

Proceedings in the Parliament were disrupted on Thursday which marked the third successive day of protests. The reason: Food prices. Protests by the opposition erupted as the two houses assembled at 11 a.m. Failing to restore order, the proceedings were adjourned till 12 noon by Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar and Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari. However, pandemonium continued even after reassembling due to which both houses were adjourned for the day after government papers were tabled.

But sculptors in Surat have designed a new alternative: special eco-friendly idols. 14 such idols are being made on the order of non-resident Gujaratis and will be exported to London. The idols, one of which is 8 feet high, took about 25 days to complete. |

| The controversy over the upcoming film 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai' took another turn as alleged gangster Haji Mastan's daughter Shamshad Supariwala filed a fresh affidavit in a civil court in Mumbai on Tuesday.
